Specialty Classes:

Below are some of the popular specialties that our student divers ask for. If you do not see a class that you are interested in, please contact us, and we will be happy to help you explore your interests. We offer your choice of classes through PADI or SSI certifying agencies.

  • Deep Diver: In the deep diver class, you will gain the knowledge, experience, and skills needed to reach the deepest recreational dive sites. You will learn safety considerations, how to plan deep dives, manage your gas supply and how to identify and manage narcosis. You will practice buddy contact procedures, and buoyancy control at depth. The deep diver course will give you the knowledge to dive to the recreational dive limit maximum depth of 130 feet.
  •

  • Drift Diver: Diving in a current can feel like flying underwater. During the drift diver course under the guidance of one of our experienced instructors, students learn drift diving tips, practice buoyancy control, navigation, use of surface signaling equipment and buddy communication.
  •

  • Drysuit Diver: The drysuit diver certification means that you have the skills and experience to dive in the coldest environments, giving you access to diving year round throughout the world!
  •

  • Boat Diver: In the boat diver class, your instructor will help you gain the skills to dive off a boat, to help you access dive sites around the world!
  •

  • Night Diver: The night diver certification means that you have the skills and experience to dive at night, giving you access to seeing nocturnal creatures and bioluminescence phenomena!
  •

  • Sidemount Diver: During the sidemount course, students discover the balance and efficiency of sidemount scuba diving. Many divers find sidemount to be more comfortable and staging tanks to don in water easier walking around with backmounted tanks. Sidemount diving is also beneficial for divers who want improved balance and prolonged dives and is a great first step to learning technical / self-reliant diving skills, managing redundant air sources, finning techniques and extended range dives.
  •

  • Digital Underwater Photographer: The Digital UW photographer certification provides you with the knowledge and skills to avoid beginner mistakes and shorten the learning curve with tips from the pros! Learn how to use underwater (UW) photography equipment, UW lights (strobes) and white balance, avoid backscatter and enhance color. manage your dive safely while taking well composed pleasing photos, and then how to download and process those photos electronically once you have completed your dives.
  •

  • Wreck Diver: Whether purpose-sunk as an artificial reef for scuba divers, or lost as the result of an accident or weather, wrecks are fascinating windows to the past. Ships, airplanes and even cars are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or spying something others have missed. The Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while observing responsible wreck diving practices, teaching you wreck penetration skills. We recommend doing this course using redundant gas supplies such as sidemount, backmount doubles or a pony bottle. If you're at least 15 years old and have earned an Adventure Diver or higher certification, you can enroll in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.

The full course fee is due at the time the student is enrolled in the class.
