Scuba Exotique’s offers dive classes ranging from beginner (introductory) through professional and technical diving classes. We also offer you specialty courses to help you develop the specialized skills to dive anywhere in the world to build the memories of a lifetime!
Boat Diver Class
If you’re new to boat diving or want to learn more about diving from different types of boats, enroll in the Boat Diver course. During two dives with your instructor, you will learn nautical terminology, boat diving etiquette and may practice using lines and/or deploy a surface marker buoy (SMB). Your instructor will help you gain the skills to dive off a boat, to help you access dive sites around the world!
The class fee includes one 2-tank boat charter booking per student.

Deep Diver Class
The Deep Diver Specialty course offers you the opportunity of going deep to see things others can only dream about. You will learn safety considerations, how to plan and conduct deep dives, manage your gas supply including redundant air sources, and how to identify and manage narcosis. You will practice buddy contact procedures, and buoyancy control at depth. You will also have a chance to experience deeper depths under the supervision of one of our experienced dive professionals. The deep diver class, provides you with the knowledge, experience, and skills needed to reach the deepest recreational dive sites. The deep diver course will give you the knowledge to dive to the recreational dive limit maximum depth of 130 feet.

Dive Guide Course – SSI
The SSI Dive Guide program is the first step on your dive professional journey. Learn to safely lead certified divers in various environments and conditions. By giving dive briefings, doing site evaluations, and leading dives, you will become a confident Dive Guide in no time. Begin your diving career working as a Professional Dive Guide or continue the qualifications for Divemaster.. It includes the following Digital Specialty Program Kits necessary to become an SSI Dive Guide Professional:

Drift Diver Class
Diving in a current can feel like flying underwater. In the Drift Diver course, you will learn drift diving tips from an experienced instructor and practice buoyancy control, navigation, use of surface signaling equipment and buddy communication to give you the confidence to enjoy gliding through currents at exotic dive sites around the world!

Drysuit Diver Class
Course fee does not include drysuit rental
Description: Want to stay warm? Want to extend your scuba diving season? Then dive dry. A dry suit seals you off from the water and keeps you comfortable, even in surprisingly cold water. There is incredible diving in the world’s cooler regions and in some areas, conditions are even better in colder months. Becoming a dry suit diver allows you to expand your boundaries and dive more places, more often.
Prerequisite: If you are at least 10 years old and certified as a (Junior) Open Water Diver or higher, you can enroll in the Dry Suit Diver course.
Academics: The first thing you will discover is which dry suit style and accompanying undergarments are right for you and the diving you will do. Then you will learn how to take care of your dry suit. During two dives, in addition to a confined water dive, you will practice:
- Putting on and taking off your dry suit with minimal assistance,
- Mastering buoyancy control using your dry suit,
- Dive safety procedures when using a dry suit.
EFR Primary and Secondary Care / SSI React Right Courses
In the PADI EFR / SSI React Right classes, you will gain the knowledge, experience, and skills to perform CPR / First Aid and handle basic secondary care. These are great skills to have for everyday life, and if you are going on to your Rescue Diver / Diver Stress & Rescue class, you will also practice CPR skills for in-water rescue.

EFR Primary and Secondary Care Instructor Course
During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), Care for Children, CPR & AED courses (region-specific workplace courses may require additional training). Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response courses.
The instructor course covers specific goals and performance requirements for the Primary Care, Secondary Care, Care for Children and CPR & AED courses, along with instruction on how to structure learning, the requirements of performance-based training, and your role as the instructor in the learning environment. You also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing students’ hands-on skills practice sessions, and are taught how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience. You’ll also receive information helpful in marketing your EFR business.
Prerequisites:
To enter the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you must be 18 years old and have completed CPR and first aid training in the past 24 months or a be a practicing medical professional such as a physician, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic or Registered Nurse.
Emergency Oxygen Provider
Knowing how and when to administer emergency oxygen is a valuable skill to have in a dive emergency. PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider and SSI React Right courses prepares you to offer aid and teaches you to recognize scuba diving injuries and illnesses requiring emergency oxygen.
These are excellent courses for scuba divers, boat crew, lifeguards, freedivers or anyone who spends time in and around water. No age restrictions or water sessions required.

- Assemble an oxygen unit and administer emergency oxygen,
- Administer emergency oxygen,
- Be prepared to offer aid to divers and any recreational water user,
- Gain experience handling oxygen equipment,
- Identify when oxygen is needed for scuba diving and water-related injuries and illnesses,
- Aid a diver if decompression sickness is suspected.
Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver Class
In the Nitrox / Enriched Air Diver class, you are taught the procedures to dive EAnx up to 40% safely and responsibly.

Equipment Specialist Class
Don't miss a dive due to minor issues with your scuba diving equipment. Whether it's a missing o-ring, wetsuit tear or a broken fin strap, our PADI Equipment Specialist / SSI Equipment Technique courses teach you how to manage basic repairs and adjustments. You will learn how your gear works, making you more comfortable with it and better prepared to take care of your investment.
If you are at least 10 years old and certified as a (Junior) Scuba Diver or higher, you can enroll in the Equipment Specialist course.

Gas Blender Class
Nitrox and Trimix are no longer voodoo gases! By getting certified to blend gases, you will be able to safely make your own custom blends to exactly fit a specific dive profile allowing you to accomplish missions other only dream of. The Tec Gas Blender course teaches you how to blend enriched air nitrox and helium-based gases using one or more blending methods.
Academics:
The Tec Gas Blender course includes three practical application sessions, but no dives. During independent study, instructor-led reviews, and practice sessions you will learn:
- Key aspects of designing an air fill / blending station,
- About the advantages and disadvantages of different blending methodologies,
- To blend enriched air and trimix blends to within one percent of the target mix,
- About the potential hazards related to handling oxygen, and how to manage those risks,
- To demonstrate the steps for oxygen cleaning equipment, along with the requirements for oxygen service.
Night Diver Class
The thought of dipping below the surface at night seems mysterious, yet so alluring. Although you've been scuba diving at a site many times before, at night you drop into a whole new world and watch it come to life under the glow of your dive light. The scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge. If you've wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down, sign up for the PADI Night Diver or SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Specialty course.
Night diving requires different skills from diving during the day. This specialty is the best way to learn about night diving and practice the techniques you will need to become a safe and confident night diver. In this program, you will be provided with all the knowledge and skills you need to safely and comfortably dive at night or in limited visibility conditions. With a combination of online learning and open water training dives, you will learn how to enter and exit the water, use specialized equipment, and how to communicate with your buddy easily at night or in limited visibility. Upon completion, you will be ready to go night diving with confidence.
(Junior) Open Water Divers or higher, who are at least 12 years old, can enroll in the Night Diver specialty course

Peak Performance Buoyancy Diver Class
The Peak Performance Buoyancy / Perfect Buoyancy specialty is the best way to improve your buoyancy and get the most from every dive. Buoyancy is an essential dive skill, but any diver will tell you it takes time to perfect. The Peak Performance Buoyancy / Perfect Buoyancy specialty will teach you advanced buoyancy skills and techniques, so you can master your buoyancy more quickly and enjoy more relaxed dive adventures. In this fascinating program, you will also learn new skills that protect the environment and work in every diving situation. Upon completion, you will earn the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy or SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. With better buoyancy skills, you will soon be able to hover with ease and take the underwater photographs you dream of!

Self-Reliant Diver Class
Although diving with a buddy is the norm, there are reasons for an experienced diver to develop self-reliance and independence while diving. Learning to carry out dives without a partner can make you a stronger diver in most dive situations.
The PADI Self-Reliant Diver / SSI Independent Diver specialty course is a course designed to train divers to dive independently, without compromising safety factor. “Self-sufficiency” is the keyword and mindset of this course. Our experienced instructors will train you to always have a strong awareness to your personal and environmental condition. With proper training, equipment and the right attitude to accept the risks involved in independent diving, an experience diver can responsibly engage in dives without a buddy. If you have the mental discipline and commitment to learn and follow self-reliant diving techniques, by completing this training you will strengthen your skills and confidence when diving alone, in a dive pair or as part of a team.
You need to be an Advanced Open Water Diver, at least 18 years old and have 100 logged dives to enroll in the Self-Reliant Diver / Independent Diver course.
Academics:
Learning how to compensate for situations you would normally handle with a buddy is the focus of the Self-Reliant Diver / Independent Diver course. This includes proper dive planning using air consumption rate calculations, life support system redundancy, and independent management of dive emergencies. During knowledge development sessions and three training dives, you will practice:
- Performing an air consumption rate swims to gather information for later calculation,
- Switching to a redundant air supply system during simulated emergency situations,
- Swimming without a mask,
- Navigating to various points, including your exit,
- Deploying a DSMB from depth,
- Practice frog kicks, reverse frog kick, helicopter turns,
- Optimize your gear configuration, trim and buoyancy.
Sidemount Rec Diver Class
Having scuba tanks on your back isn’t a requirement for exploring the underwater world. Many scuba divers have discovered the joy of mounting cylinders on their sides. Sidemount diving gives you flexibility and streamlining options. Plus, you don’t have to walk with heavy cylinders on your back – just enter the water, clip them on and go.
The sidemount configuration is most commonly used by technical divers, either to streamline their equipment in overhead environments or to carry extra cylinders for long decompression stops. If you want to expand your underwater horizons beyond the recreational limits, the Sidemount Diver course serves as an introduction to the skills and equipment used in tec diving. However, there is no reason why recreational divers can’t also dive sidemount — in fact, many recreational divers simply prefer sidemount because it improves their comfort and maneuverability in the water.

Along with learning about the many benefits of diving with a sidemount configuration, during one confined water and three open water scuba dives you will learn how to:
- Properly assemble and configure sidemount scuba diving equipment,
- Trim your weight system and sidemount gear to be perfectly balanced in the water,
- Manage gas by switching second stages as planned, if wearing two cylinders,
- Perform air consumption rate swims to gather information for later calculation,
- Manage and switch your air supply during simulated emergency situations,
- Swim without a mask,
- Practice deploying a DSMB from depth,
- Practice frog kicks, reverse frog kick, helicopter turns,
- Optimize your trim and buoyancy,
- Respond correctly to potential problems when sidemount diving.
Underwater Digital Photographer Class
Underwater photography has some challenges not found on land, but with the underwater Photo & Video specialty programs, you will learn how to capture your amazing underwater experiences. This program provides the in-depth knowledge you need to dive with an underwater camera and properly use, maintain and store your equipment. You will develop your skills and learn techniques to take underwater images and video safely and easily, plus perfect your diving abilities while using your underwater camera system. Learn how to take high quality images that you can share with everyone! Your instructor will help you avoid beginner mistakes and shorten the learning curve with tips from the pros. Learn how to use underwater photography lights (strobes), avoid backscatter, enhance color and use software to manage and process your photos after the dives.
