Gas Blender Class
Nitrox and Trimix are no longer voodoo gases! By getting certified to blend gases, you will be able to safely make your own custom blends to exactly fit a specific dive profile allowing you to accomplish missions other only dream of. The Tec Gas Blender course teaches you how to blend enriched air nitrox and helium-based gases using one or more blending methods.
Academics:
The Tec Gas Blender course includes three practical application sessions, but no dives. During independent study, instructor-led reviews, and practice sessions you will learn:
- Key aspects of designing an air fill / blending station,
- About the advantages and disadvantages of different blending methodologies,
- To blend enriched air and trimix blends to within one percent of the target mix,
- About the potential hazards related to handling oxygen, and how to manage those risks,
- To demonstrate the steps for oxygen cleaning equipment, along with the requirements for oxygen service.
Night Diver Class
The thought of dipping below the surface at night seems mysterious, yet so alluring. Although you've been scuba diving at a site many times before, at night you drop into a whole new world and watch it come to life under the glow of your dive light. The scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge. If you've wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down, sign up for the PADI Night Diver or SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Specialty course.
Night diving requires different skills from diving during the day. This specialty is the best way to learn about night diving and practice the techniques you will need to become a safe and confident night diver. In this program, you will be provided with all the knowledge and skills you need to safely and comfortably dive at night or in limited visibility conditions. With a combination of online learning and open water training dives, you will learn how to enter and exit the water, use specialized equipment, and how to communicate with your buddy easily at night or in limited visibility. Upon completion, you will be ready to go night diving with confidence.
(Junior) Open Water Divers or higher, who are at least 12 years old, can enroll in the Night Diver specialty course

Open Water Diver Class
If you want to dive anywhere you want, with anyone you want, join the Open Water Diver program. This is your international certification to become part of an exclusive group of underwater explorers that most people only dream about joining! Learning to dive is much easier than you think.
This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.
The Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. One of our highly-trained instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and explore the underwater world.
You will practice using scuba gear in a pool (or pool-like environment) until you are comfortable. Your training includes practice "mini dives" to help you build confidence in your new abilities before making four dives in open water.

Peak Performance Buoyancy Diver Class
The Peak Performance Buoyancy / Perfect Buoyancy specialty is the best way to improve your buoyancy and get the most from every dive. Buoyancy is an essential dive skill, but any diver will tell you it takes time to perfect. The Peak Performance Buoyancy / Perfect Buoyancy specialty will teach you advanced buoyancy skills and techniques, so you can master your buoyancy more quickly and enjoy more relaxed dive adventures. In this fascinating program, you will also learn new skills that protect the environment and work in every diving situation. Upon completion, you will earn the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy or SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. With better buoyancy skills, you will soon be able to hover with ease and take the underwater photographs you dream of!

By giving dive briefings, doing site evaluations, and leading dives, you will become a confident Dive Guide in no time. Begin your diving career working as a Professional Dive Guide or continue the qualifications for Divemaster.. It includes the following Digital Specialty Program Kits necessary to become an SSI Dive Guide Professional:

Scuba Refresher Class
In the refresher class, your instructor will walk you through the open water skills to help you gain the confidence to resume diving if you have not had a chance to practice your dive skills in a while. Semi-private and private classes can select to complete the skills in the Pool vs. during OW Dives.

Self-Reliant Diver Class
Although diving with a buddy is the norm, there are reasons for an experienced diver to develop self-reliance and independence while diving. Learning to carry out dives without a partner can make you a stronger diver in most dive situations.
The PADI Self-Reliant Diver / SSI Independent Diver specialty course is a course designed to train divers to dive independently, without compromising safety factor. “Self-sufficiency” is the keyword and mindset of this course. Our experienced instructors will train you to always have a strong awareness to your personal and environmental condition. With proper training, equipment and the right attitude to accept the risks involved in independent diving, an experience diver can responsibly engage in dives without a buddy. If you have the mental discipline and commitment to learn and follow self-reliant diving techniques, by completing this training you will strengthen your skills and confidence when diving alone, in a dive pair or as part of a team.
You need to be an Advanced Open Water Diver, at least 18 years old and have 100 logged dives to enroll in the Self-Reliant Diver / Independent Diver course.
Academics:
Learning how to compensate for situations you would normally handle with a buddy is the focus of the Self-Reliant Diver / Independent Diver course. This includes proper dive planning using air consumption rate calculations, life support system redundancy, and independent management of dive emergencies. During knowledge development sessions and three training dives, you will practice:
- Performing an air consumption rate swims to gather information for later calculation,
- Switching to a redundant air supply system during simulated emergency situations,
- Swimming without a mask,
- Navigating to various points, including your exit,
- Deploying a DSMB from depth,
- Practice frog kicks, reverse frog kick, helicopter turns,
- Optimize your gear configuration, trim and buoyancy.
Sidemount Rec Diver Class
Having scuba tanks on your back isn’t a requirement for exploring the underwater world. Many scuba divers have discovered the joy of mounting cylinders on their sides. Sidemount diving gives you flexibility and streamlining options. Plus, you don’t have to walk with heavy cylinders on your back – just enter the water, clip them on and go.
The sidemount configuration is most commonly used by technical divers, either to streamline their equipment in overhead environments or to carry extra cylinders for long decompression stops. If you want to expand your underwater horizons beyond the recreational limits, the Sidemount Diver course serves as an introduction to the skills and equipment used in tec diving. However, there is no reason why recreational divers can’t also dive sidemount — in fact, many recreational divers simply prefer sidemount because it improves their comfort and maneuverability in the water.
Academics:
Along with learning about the many benefits of diving with a sidemount configuration, during one confined water and three open water scuba dives you will learn how to:
- Properly assemble and configure sidemount scuba diving equipment,
- Trim your weight system and sidemount gear to be perfectly balanced in the water,
- Manage gas by switching second stages as planned, if wearing two cylinders,
- Perform air consumption rate swims to gather information for later calculation,
- Manage and switch your air supply during simulated emergency situations,
- Swim without a mask,
- Practice deploying a DSMB from depth,
- Practice frog kicks, reverse frog kick, helicopter turns,
- Optimize your trim and buoyancy,
- Respond correctly to potential problems when sidemount diving.
Underwater Digital Photographer Class
Underwater photography has some challenges not found on land, but with the underwater Photo & Video specialty programs, you will learn how to capture your amazing underwater experiences. This program provides the in-depth knowledge you need to dive with an underwater camera and properly use, maintain and store your equipment. You will develop your skills and learn techniques to take underwater images and video safely and easily, plus perfect your diving abilities while using your underwater camera system. Learn how to take high quality images that you can share with everyone! Your instructor will help you avoid beginner mistakes and shorten the learning curve with tips from the pros. Learn how to use underwater photography lights (strobes), avoid backscatter, enhance color and use software to manage and process your photos after the dives.

Underwater Navigator Class
The Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you how to more accurately use your compass underwater. If you like challenges with big rewards, take this course and have fun finding your way.

Wreck Diver Class
Whether purpose-sunk as an artificial reef for scuba divers, or lost as the result of an accident or weather, wrecks are fascinating. Most divers find wreck diving irresistible because not only do you get to explore a little piece of the past, but it opens up new and exciting avenues of discovery. On top of being able to dive into history, wrecks are also artificial reefs teeming with life. Aquatic creatures thrive in the nooks and crannies made available by the sunken vessel.
The Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while observing responsible wreck diving practices, teaching you wreck penetration skills. We recommend doing this course using redundant gas supplies such as sidemount, backmount doubles or a pony bottle. If you are at least 15 years old and have earned an Adventure Diver or higher certification, you can enroll in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.
Academics:
During knowledge development sessions and three training dives, you will practice:
- How to get background info on wrecks,
- What equipment is required for wreck diving,
- Safety consideration with regards to wreck diving,
- How to prepare for a wreck dive,
- Surveying and mapping a wreck,
- How to perform limited penetration on the wreck with penetration lines and reels,
- Techniques for minimal disturbance to the surrounding site,
- Limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures.
